Healed of Uterine Fibroid and More! May 2008
My name is Constance Keller. I’m a member of Family Life Christian Center. This is a testimony of how God used His direct intervention and a skilled doctor to heal me of two different female problems.
In December, 2007, I noticed unusual swelling around my pelvic region. In January, 2008, I had my regular female exam. My doctor felt something in the area of my right ovary. He sent me for an ultrasound. The results showed a 2 inch mass on my right ovary, fibroids in the uterus, and maybe something on my cervix. My doctor then sent me for a CAT scan. During the weeks before the CAT scan, I had Tim and Lynn Collins, Roger and Carolyn Flanagan, Pastor Joe and Nancy Barlow, and Joan Dempsey pray for me. The CAT scan showed the mass on the ovary and the fibroids in the uterus, but there wasn't anything on the cervix. Now my doctor wanted an MRI to more clearly see what was going on. At this point in time, Roger was calling Joan (the woman I live with) to pray with her. She put me on the phone with Roger so I could tell him what was going on. He began to call and pray with me on a regular basis.
At this time, I began to ask God that if I was referred to an OB/Gyne, I would get a female doctor. The MRI results were that I had a 2-inch mass on the right ovary that would have to be surgically removed, and a fibroid that was intruding into the uterine canal. My doctor referred me to an OB/Gyne that he knew. When I called the office to make the appointment, I found out that the doctor was going to be out of the country on a mission’s trip, but the female doctor who is his partner would be able to see me. This was answered prayer!
When I called my older brother and sister-in-law in Seattle to update them, they offered to pay for half my MRI expenses. More answered prayer. I was not spooked by this, but calmly asked God what He was going to do. He told me that He was going to make it very easy for the surgeon to remove the mass and leave the ovary intact, and was going to make the problem fibroid totally disappear. When I finally saw the OB/Gyne, she explained what she was going to do. She believed that she would be able to remove the mass without removing the ovary. She also told me that if the problem fibroid was still intruding into the uterine canal, she would remove the part of it that was inside the uterine canal. She then explained everything to Joan. We scheduled the surgery for May 7. At this point, I began to let other people know what was going on. I continued to have people at church pray for me. Roger continued to call and agree with my faith statement of what was going to happen. Other Christians also agreed in prayer with me. On May 7, Joan drove me to the hospital. After check-in and initial prep, Joan prayed with me. Then, satan tried to throw fear on me via a flashback to something that had happened a long time ago. I quietly quoted Scripture and told satan to take a hike cause I was about to get my miracle, and he wasn't gonna stop it. Then came the final prep. I was very groggy when I woke up after the surgery.
The OB/Gyne had good news for me. She was able to remove the mass and leave the ovary intact. She told me that she could not find the problem fibroid! It was gone. Big time answered prayer! I was sent home with a prescription for Tylenol with codeine (for pain) and another one for an anti-inflammatory medicine. I am blessed with a high pain tolerance, and only needed 5 of the Tylenol pills. I took all the anti-inflammatory pills, but only after praying that there would be no side effects (more answered prayer). Everyone was happy that things turned out the way they did. Praise the Lord!
